FAQs

  • When do students normally take the German Placement Test?

Most students take the test during the summer before entering their freshman
year. These incoming freshmen receive reminders via Learnlink early in the
summer. The test can be taken any time before registration begins.

  • How long does it take to receive my German Placement results?

If you have taken the test in the summer, you will receive your official German
    Placement before FAME advisement begins.

  • If I have questions regarding enrollment, who will address my problems?

First contact the Department of German Studies directly at 404 727-6439, you
may then be directed to contact Hiram Maxim, Placement Exam Coordinator.

  • If I have concerns about my German placement, who is my contact person?

First speak with your instructor; s/he will be able to answer most questions.
